AI UK 2023: 21-22 March 2023

Hosted by The Alan Turing Institute, AI UK 2023 will be an in-depth exploration of how data science and AI can be used to solve real-world challenges. Our diverse programme will be thematically structured around the UK Government’s Office for Science and Technology Strategy’s priorities, with a broad range of interactive content, expect to hear the latest thinking on digital twins, algorithmic bias and AI ethics.

Using evolutionary computing in a commercial context to help the transition to net zero

The mission: to accelerate the world’s transition to renewable energies. The challenge: the design process for crucial engineering assets such as off- and onshore power cables, transmission lines and pipelines can be fraught with expensive and time-consuming setbacks. Engineering clients must have more certainty in the asset design process in order to efficiently address global environmental sustainability. Continuum Industries’ Helmi Fraser and Andreas Malekos are using AI to predict design process issues ahead of time, significantly improving and streamlining existing design procedures. At AI UK, discover their state-of-the-art solution via hands-on demonstration and in-person discussion.
