The JCEEI hosted NASA Space Apps 2022, the largest annual global hackathon in the world. This event’s theme was ‘Make SPACE’, celebrating that ‘there’s always space for one more’, to eliminate barriers of access to space and science opportunities.

The Exeter winner was ‘Into the Void’  

Across the world, 2022 had the largest number of registered participants in the history of Space Apps, with 31,400+ registered participants from 162 countries and territories:

• 3,000+ Project Submissions  
• 300+ Locations  
• 160+ Countries from around the world participate  
• 22 Challenges were addressed
